Maharishi Markandeshwar University, located in Mullana, Haryana, was established in the year 1993 under the guidance of Sh. Tarsem Garg. Maharishi Markandeshwar is a deemed-to-be university of India that has received UGC approval for online education.
Starting off as an institute of higher education providing graduation level education, the university has expanded massively over the years. Not only does it now provide courses across a very large domain of disciplines but also in a number of modes such as online, offline and distance modes.
MM(DU) also has a dedicated centre for distance and online education, which is responsible for handling all operations of the university’s online and distance education. A number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses are offered to students through this cell in subject areas like commerce, computer applications, management etc.
