Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science (HITS) opened its doors in 1985 in Chennai, India as Hindustan College of Engineering at the start. Now recognized as a Deemed-to-be University, it earns respect for programs in engineering, technology, aviation and management fields. HITS launched the Centre for Open and Digital Education (CODE) to support students with flexible study needs, where CODE manages complete online undergraduate and postgraduate offerings.
